I find myself in foreign countries often. Losing myself in different cultures, observing different landscapes. Hearing all kinds of different languages, coming across all kinds of different looks. From different fashion styles, to different skin colors, physical features, and the list goes on. At a glance we all look SO different, but there hasn’t been one time that a conversation past your typical “hello and have a good day” hasn’t proved to me that we all feel, and dream the same. We all have pretty similar desires, and struggles.
Before a governing system was developed, and languages, countries, ethnicities – all the division we face today – came about; there was nothing except some humans trying to figure it out. And thousands of years later here we are – still confused; except more evolved. Hiding behind social masks, dressed in clothes, distracted with gadgets, and still trying to figure it out. If division, status, and identity has always ended up in war, and conflict, why haven’t we learnt that this isn’t the way?
Today – April 22nd, 2018 – is the smallest our world has ever been. We have everything available at our finger tips to bring us closer together. From technology, to the media, to the many traveling systems. Whoever is watching over us, is giving us an opportunity to wake up and realize that “hell” doesn’t exist in another life – hell is what we have created on Earth. That when we choose division, prejudice, greed, jealousy, fear, hate, we create our own “hell.” Like Eckhart Tolle highlights in his book “A New Earth” – for years the most enlightened masters in history, from Jesus to Buddha, have taught that heaven is right here on Earth. Jesus taught it as “salvation”, the Buddha as the end of suffering, and in Yogic philosophy, Samadhi. Which are simply different ways to describe self-realization – the realization of our TRUE nature and being – the oneness that unites us all.
Where you came from, I came from. And where you go when it’s all said and done, I will go. With this new level of awareness a shift in Earthly consciousness will come. A level of consciousness that will help us realize that despite our differences, and worldly duties, we are here to support one another and take care of this Earth that is our one and only real home.
Be compassionate. Treat nature, and everyone around you with kindness, and love. A shift in YOUR consciousness is enough to make a difference in this world.
Happy Earth day babes. 💜
